Cideon uses the latest CAD/CAM and PDM/PLM software solutions as well as self-developed inhouse software. Cideon is an Autodesk Platinum Partner for German speaking locations, an SAP Platinum Build Partner as well as a software partner to Dassault Systèmes and PROCAD.

Cideon employs 310 staff at 13 locations and is part of the Friedhelm Loh Group. The family business operates successfully worldwide with 12 production facilities and 95 subsidiaries. The Group includes companies such as Rittal, Eplan, Stahlo and LKH.

Cideon was honored with second place in the 'Customer Lifecycle' category at the 2025 'Best of Technology Awards' presented by WirtschaftsWoche magazine on August 27, 2025 - out of more than 110 innovations submitted!

We were awarded for our solution Cideon Sparify—a digital spare parts catalog that displays spare parts in an interactive 3D view, making it easy to select and place an order online. CAD models from popular systems—including metadata and documents—are intuitively visualized to revolutionize the ordering of spare parts for machines and plants.

Configuration and automation on a whole new level: Cideon Conify offers numerous advantages to machine building and plant construction companies that manufacture products with many variants and want to process these throughout their systems.

A brand new feature is the connector to the popular CAD system Solid Edge. With this connector, CAD data is made available for subsequent processes and is available for further configuration processes.

We are pleased to present an important new feature of our Cideon Conversion Engine for SAP: The Eplan Connector is now available as a purchase license with annual maintenance! With this addition, companies can integrate and process their technical data even more efficiently.

 

The Eplan Connector enables seamless integration of Eplan data into automated processes, further accelerating workflows and reducing data management costs. Discover the advantages and possible applications of the Cideon Conversion Engine with Eplan Connector.

 

 

The Cideon SAP tools have been officially certified by SAP. This certification confirms our efforts to always offer our customers the greatest possible added value. All SAP tools are based on our decades of SAP experience, both as a development partner and in customer projects.

Certificate SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Cideon and technotrans solutions GmbH can look back on a successful joint project: the thermal management specialist from North Rhine-Westphalia wanted to replace its outdated PDM and CAD systems with a high-performance alternative quickly and easily. The company opted for SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR), which convinced technotrans solutions with its speed, significantly more functions and improved usability.

Cideon supported technotrans solutions significantly in this project and was responsible for the implementation of SAP ECTR including integration into the existing SAP system landscape, customizing, data migration and key user training. Thanks to SAP ECTR, technotrans solutions can now integrate all engineering data into SAP PLM and connect it with relevant business data. In addition, the introduction of SAP ECTR has significantly reduced the number of previous system interfaces. This has made an important contribution to the efficient harmonization of the data-based system landscape within the entire technotrans Group.

The Cideon interface apps SAP ECTR interface to Inventor and Cideon Vault Professional Integration to SAP PLM have again received the Autodesk certification Autodesk Certified App. The applications developed as part of the Autodesk Certified App program meet the guidelines specified by Autodesk in order to achieve the best possible combination of Autodesk software and developer applications. Quality, interoperability and compatibility with the selected Autodesk software were among the factors taken into account for certification.

Rolf Lisse took over responsibility for the management of system integrator Cideon on July 1, 2022. The 50-year-old has held various management positions at Cideon since 2007. In close coordination with Sebastian Seitz, CEO of Eplan and Cideon, he will position the company more broadly along its solutions in CAD, PDM and SAP integration.

Cideon Marketing receives Autodesk Channel Excellence Award 2022 - At this year's Autodesk One Team Extension (OTx) from March 15 to 17, 2022, the Cideon Digital Business Team (Marketing) was awarded the Autodesk Channel Excellence Award. The Digital Business team impressed the Autodesk jury with its professional planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, marketing automation, lead nurturing and lead qualification.

"We are delighted to have received this award, as it not only honors the outstanding teamwork, but also confirms the successful path that we have taken so far with the consistent online orientation of Cideon Marketing," says Pia Banasch, Head of Digital Business at Cideon.

The SAP ECTR MCAD integrations have recently been released with various improvements and new features. In the AutoCAD integration, for example, the collaboration between AutoCAD and Inventor has been improved. In addition, you now benefit from the implementation of properties in iParts and iPartFactories in the Inventor integration.
