Integration of ENOVIA V6 to SAP

January 2012: We are pleased to announce today that CIDEON has formed a development partnership with Dassault Systèmes. Our new product, CIDEON V6 xPDM - SAP Interface, developed in cooperation with our new partner, supports data and process synchronisation between ENOVIA V6 and SAP. The new software makes it possible to synchronise data and process information from ENOVIA V6, such as parts, bills of materials and workflows from Engineering Central, and design and specification data from CATIA V6 and V5 with SAP. Integration is based on a groundbreaking new concept. It is no longer necessary to run any functions or make entries through user interfaces in order to exchange information between the Dassault and SAP environments. Instead, the necessary data and process information are exchanged automatically between the systems, asynchronously and without delay.

The challenge of integrating Dassault Systèmes V6 (ENOVIA, CATIA, etc) with SAP

ENOVIA V6 offers not only comprehensive CAD model management, but also PLM functionalities. Most businesses have to integrate such a PLM solution into a complex IT infrastructure, as many planning and production processes run outside ENOVIA V6, e.g. on the SAP system. Compatible with SAP CAD desktop applications and SAP PLM 7.x

The CIDEON solution consistently guarantees the topicality of the objects set in its "standards" in the SAP system, e.g. documents, materials, bills of materials, metadata, etc. Established functionalities, particularly including functions from SAP PLM 7.x, can still be used with objects synchronised from V6. For example, all the familiar desktop functions, such as object and material links or the recovery of derived bills of materials using the change service, are still available.
