CIDEON Import PDM / PLM
Import of CAD data and documents to SAP
CIDEON Import PDM / PLM automatically imports data masses to SAP. This enables various types of documents such as CAD files, TIF-, PDF-, Office documents, etc. to be imported. An document information record (DIR) is created for each document. Several documents can also be allocated to a data record (e.g. CAD drawings and associated TIFF conversions). With AutoCAD and MicroStation drawings, document hierarchies are created by removing the external references. The model structure is used in Inventor, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and CATIA V5 models. The bill of documents (BOD) in the SAP system is automatically created from these hierarchy data. If required, the files will also be renamed according to an unambiguous names convention at „Concurrent Engineering“ to protect them from being overwritten. The documents can be filed in or Content Server.
