SAP CAD direct integration
CIDEON Software develops direct integrations for different leading CAD systems to SAP PLM in cooperation with SAP. The CAD SAP interface is directly embedded in the front end of the CAD system – the familiar work environment for the designing engineer.
The direct link between CAD and SAP system automates the management of all parts being designed in the CAD system with complete support of materials and Bill of Materials in SAP. Doubled data collection can therefore be avoided. Drawings, models, interchange formats, neutral formats and view files can be provided cross-functional and cross-company worldwide. Construction parts lists and CAD documents are immediately available for all subsequent processes, e.g. production planning, manufacturing and service. With the integration of the SAP modification-service the history of modification for each document is available at all times for all PLM sections. Continous course of clearance is guaranteed throughout the entire enterprise.
The costs for an additional product data management system (PDM) and its interfaces will be saved by the use of the direct integration of SAP developed by CIDEON Software.
