Research and development projects

Those who only move along the worn-out paths of daily business will be caught up by the competition sooner rather than later. For this very reason, CIDEON Engineering is increasingly distinguishing itself in the fields of research and development. In doing so, CIDEON Engineering is in close contact with colleges, universities as well as other research institutions and is also involved at a network manager at the Innovationszentrums Bahntechnik Europa. Thanks to these co-operations, CIDEON Engineering can also process innovative and future-viable projects alongside the day-to-date challenges.
One of the concepts that we helped to develop within the area of combined transport is the CargoBeamer technology. In the future, this groundbreaking cargo transfer system for non-modified semi-trailers should contribute to finally moving freight transport from the road to the track in an enhanced manner and, as a consequence, should relieve the environment and the road network.

Further projects:
  • Trimotrans – container system for tri-modal combined transport – meaning a more simple transfer of freight goods between HGV, railway and inland boats.
  • Automatic wheelset changer for ICE trains
  • SupraTrans – The project from the field of basic research should answer the question whether massive high-temperature superconductors (HTS) is suitable as a suspension and guidance system on MAGLEV and to investigate the conditions for its use in transport systems.
